After fighting Maya, the girls decided to sleep in an alley with sleeping bags from Sam.
Noelani lay down in the sleeping bag, relaxed, and found her comfiest sleeping position: the freefaller position and fell asleep. In her dreams, she saw an army of beasts from various cultures roaring, snapping their talons, etc. A bird with holes in its wings and no eyes went around, examining Noelani like she was a guinea pig for an experiment. Another had two mouths: one on its face and the other in the back of her face. Sam and Bianca were tied to a chair with a handkerchief covering their mouths. "Help! Help!" Noelani doubted on what it really meant to be a hero. It wasn`t about having a cape or an awesome theme song. It was about being courageous, kind, and hardworking. But did she have any of those? Yes, but just not the hardworking part. Back at home, she was a couch potato. Mmm...
Noelani got herself back together and got her first aid kit and sword. Unsure on whether to save them or not, she swung and sliced. She diced. She iced herself (with an ice pack, of course). And she really didn`t wanna die any day. Apparently, Typhon had a penchant for 12-year-olds who liked anime and science.
Noelani killed one of the monsters. She sliced one`s head off. Noelani strangled 10 of them. Approximately 89 of them were still there. Noelani cut through a monster`s chest, but it growled. Noelani couldn`t tell what species he was, and mercilessly killed them.
There were a group of preadolescents lying unconsciously, as if they were dead. They reminded of her classmate Cherie, who was innocent and killed a couple of days ago.
Noelani slaughtered a monster that was indescribably monstrous. Awhile later, some of the monsters' carcasses lay there, just there. She fought and fought her way through various monsters, slew them all, and decided to rest for a bit.
The journey awaits...
