The Apocalyptic Pursuit: Chapter 3

Noelani hurried off to lunch. She asked, "Where`s the cafeteria, Ciara?" Ciara answered, "We eat in room 73, and since children of Limos have a hard time distinguishing food from non-food, we eat the messes in room 73." A tall female centaur arrived. Ciara said, "That`s Ms. Esme. She`s the daughter of Chiron, the trainer of all heroes." Noelani asked, "The Chiron? The trainer of Achilles? The trainer of Hercules and many others?" Ciara noticed Noelani was about to faint. Ciara said, "I`ll catch you, Noelani!" Ms. Esme said, "I`m pretty sure you`ve heard all about the quest to ultimately destroy Typhon, am I correct?" Everyone yelled, "Yes!" Ms. Esme said, "I have assigned 3 of you to go on this quest: Noelani, daughter of Limos as our quest leader, Bianca de Milo, daughter of Hades, and lastly, Samantha, daughter of Meliona." The Limos kids said, "Nuh-uh. Noelani`s not worthy to join this quest, Ms. Esme!" The Deipneus, Aphrodite, Demeter, Kymopoleia, and Thanatos kids yelled, "We agree! We agree! We agree!" Ms. Esme said, "She`s our most intellectual and gifted agent. Surely you appreciate her." Sam and Bianca walked up to Noelani. Bianca said, "They`re just pressuring you. They always do that to the outcasts of the Demigod Agency." Samantha told her when they got there, "Go to the Limos table, darling. It`s table 62." Noelani walked to table 62 and asked a Limos kid, "Don`t you want to share your egg noodles?" The Limos kid said snobbishly, "Go away. We don`t want you here. Also, we want you to sit at the best table ever: the Melinoe table." Noelani walked to the Melinoe table and the Melinoe demigods were eating mushy food and dirty food. One of them said, "Wanna have these crackers? They`re from the trash." Noelani said, "No, thank you." One of the Ares kids said, "Don`t trust her. I heard one of her half-siblings say that she`s a bloodsucking demon who`s hunting for her prey." Noelani yelled, "I`M NOT A DEMON! I`M JUST HUNGRY FOR FOOD!" The Meliona, Eleos, Hades, and Hedone kids threw food at the Ares kids. The Ares kids threw food at fellow agents. Noelani and her half-siblings yelled, "Never underestimate the power of a Limos kid!" Then Noelani and some of her half-siblings ate the sharp ends of their knives and spit them out at fellow agents and went around the dining room arguing. Everyone started participating and the Limos, Deipneus, Techne, Mnemosyne, Aglaia, Meliona, Eleos, Eirene, Carpo, Bellona, Hedone, and Hades kids grabbed their knives and yelled, "Charge!" The other cabins used their brains, brawn, and powers in the fight. Noelani built catapults with help from the Techne and Mnemosyne kids. After Noelani stuffed the catapults with food, she yelled, "Launch!" A Bellona kid launched the catapult at their enemies. The Demeter and Physis kids grew vines which an Eirene kid broke. Noelani told the Hedone kids, "Distract them by making them happy. Mnemosyne kids, erase our opponents` memories!" Then Ms. Esme said, "What`s all the ruckus? Don`t you know that we don`t allow food fights?" Samantha said, "Sorry, Ms. Esme."
